2008: US Refuses to Rule Out Nuclear Attack on Iran

2021: Iran Enriches Uranium to 60% Purity

In 2021, Iran began enriching uranium to up to 60% purity, which is significantly higher than the 3.67% level permitted under the 2015 nuclear deal. This move raised concerns that Iran was moving closer to developing nuclear weapons.

In 2021, Iran accused Israel of being responsible for the assassination of its top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, and an attack on its uranium enrichment plant at Natanz.
