Unbeaten Rangers Maintain Impressive Form in Scottish Premiership
Dundee, Scotland -- Rangers continued their undefeated streak in the Scottish Premiership with a clinical 4-0 victory over Dundee United on February 5, 2023.
The visitors took an early lead through a stunning volley by Scott Arfield, before Alfredo Morelos doubled their advantage with a close-range finish just before the half-hour mark.
Dundee United offered little resistance after the break, and Rangers extended their lead in the second half. Ryan Kent added a third goal with a deflected strike, while substitute Rabbi Matondo sealed the victory with a late breakaway goal.
The result extends Rangers' unbeaten run to 15 games in all competitions, maintaining their 11-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table. Dundee United, meanwhile, remain in seventh place after suffering their third consecutive defeat.
Rangers manager Michael Beale praised his team's performance, saying: "We're really pleased with the result. We knew it would be a tough game, but we controlled the game from the start and created a lot of chances."
Dundee United manager Liam Fox was disappointed with his team's display, admitting: "We didn't perform to the level we know we can. Rangers were clinical, and we couldn't match their quality today."
Rangers will look to extend their unbeaten run when they host Livingston in their next Scottish Premiership match on February 11. Dundee United will travel to face Motherwell on the same day.
